I’m intrigued by form, rhythm and movement. With calligraphic art, it’s not primarily about readability or perfect penmanship. ‘Gestural’ writing is about line and space and expressiveness.
I’m truly fascinated by this particular art form, which serves a personal matter of taste. While it appears to be spontaneous and free-flowing, every element is in fact, very much considered.
