My work tends to be abstracted from observation. I often use a previously created ‘found’, photographic, drawn or painted image, which I collage and work into, using mixed media. The initial image may become something ‘other’.

I am fascinated how the unconscious or chance juxtaposition of fragments provokes an idea or a feeling. I enjoy how this ‘chaos’ can be formally organised into an image that has coherence, significance and still retain personal resonance.
